Fairways still need work

2 years ago we booked Alamos but could not play it as there had been a watering accident where the fairways had been accidentally watered with high saline water. The course was very waterlogged this time but so was the entire region after weeks of heavy rain. Even so the fairways still need a lot of work and in my opinion it is not as good a course as Morgado even though they are the same price. Greens are challenging and fun.

Alamos is much quieter than its busier twin Morgado. It has the feel of a 'second course' too. Perhaps in the future when all the surrounding buildings get completed it will grow into what it is intended to be, a golf complex. For now it just feels a work in progress. Decent enough to play but perhaps a little overpriced when there are better options nearby.

Some wonderful holes especially on the front nine. Greens are in epic condition but super tricky. Didn’t have a straight putt all day.

Nice course, a lot of short par 4’s, but balanced by some decent par 5’s. Greens were good, tight fairways on some holes. Pace of play pretty standard. Mid tier course for the Algarve.
