Almost good, need some love and a price reduction

Having played Espiche two days before and this being more expensive, we were a little disappointed in Boavista. It has some lovely holes but others not so and seemed in average condition. The practice area was particularly poor with the putting green a shambles. It seemed like many of the greens had suffered the same issue and not much thought was given to moving the pins away from the poorer areas. In addition, the bunkers were just dreadful, not much sand, very hard and full of stones. On the plus side, the holes over the ravine are quite spectacular, particularly the par 3 to a raised green with a large step in it. We had lots of time to consider his hole as over a 10-minute wait on the tee - why oh why are this and the other long par-3 (14th) not call-up holes? All in all, a decent track with some good holes but let down by the condition, waiting times in the tees and overpriced compared to other courses in the region.

Fairways in good order. Greens look to be suffering from an infection but playable. Some of the bunkers need topping up with fresh sand. Tee boxes aren’t in great shape. Well run course and sensibly timed order of play so you’re not being chased !

Warm welcome and the course was in very good condition. Very slow play and would have preferred to play as a 2 ball as were partnered with very high handicappers but they tried their best to keep up with time.
