Gramacho Description

The Gramacho Golf Course near Carvoeiro in the Algarve was originally a nine hole course which has been extended and cleverly redesigned to become a fully fledged interesting 18 hole course. A formidable challenge to its designer! The course covers undulating terrain with olive, almond and carob trees scattered as planted years before by the local farmers. The Gramacho Course is designed for the player to be technically accurate and to know which club to choose before hitting the ball. Anything less will quickly increase his score.

Course is in decent condition, nice mix of holes. We paid 46 euro for a twilight round teeing off at 3.10pm - managed to complete 17 holes before the light closed in (pace of play in front was slow - generally -2-3min wait at each tee box) - good value for money for what we got. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

Course was in great condition and pins were in very tricky places, some holes are short par fours but require the right club choice for position.
